Kipleigh Brown

Kipleigh Brown is a Los Angeles based actress, writer and photographic artist.

Kipleigh portrayed Jane Taylor on Star Trek: Enterprise and played the lead in Entertainment One’s feature film Yesterday Was a Lie – an acclaimed, award-winning science fiction film noir, for which she was selected as one of the “Hot Leading Ladies” of film by Film Fetish and named “Best Actress” in a science fantasy feature by Shockerfest International Film Festival.

Kipleigh currently plays Lt. Barbara Smith in the award-winning web series Star Trek Continues, and wrote their 9th episode “What Ships Are For.” Kipleigh is also the voice of Captain Kuumaarke in the massively multi-player online role playing game Star Trek Online.

Other film and television credits include Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, The Magic Door, Relative Strangers starring Danny DeVito, and Design (official selection of the Sundance Film Festival). 

Originally from Chicago, Kipleigh studied at Second City, the Steppenwolf Theatre, and Illinois School for the Arts, and has performed in numerous theatrical productions in around both Chicago and Los Angeles.

Kipleigh is a regular cast member in Top Story! Weekly at the iO West Theatre in Hollywood. Top Story! Weekly presents a brand-new show each week, based on news and current events. Kipleigh also performs improv and character-based stand-up comedy and has performed at The NerdMelt, UCB, Second City LA, The Steve Allen Theatre, M Bar, and many other Los Angeles establishments, as well as The Laughing Skull in Atlanta and Zanies in Chicago.

Obsessed with quantum mechanics and microtubules, Kipleigh was thrilled to recently be a  guest presenter at the annual The Science of Consciousness Conference.
